Welcome to Mount Olympus!

Mount Olympus was said to be the home of the Greek gods and goddesses. There were 12 major Olympian gods, with many lesser gods. The Greeks believed that their world was ruled by the gods, and thus credited most natural events to them. The Greeks built temples to their gods and made sacrifices to them. The city-states of Greece occasionally had a patron god who watched over that city. For example, Athens believed that Athena was their personal goddess.

However, currently, the gods are just a myth, they are beings that represented the moods and passions of greek people in their age, that is why, most of the cases, they are just used to know a little bit more about Ancient Greece. Although, What would happen if they were real?, What would happen if Thunder god “Zeus” come to our current world and get mad because nobody is kneel before him? What would happen to us? Or will they just feel confused? Those are the kind of questions that we should do to ourselves in case that they were real. For this webquest you must look for four different gods which will be the base of the entire work, you will research these gods to find out their unique myths and how those myths would play out in today's world.

First, you will research the myths of these gods and Greek society to form an understanding of the god's personality traits. You will then become a playwright and write a modern day play using the 4 gods as characters in your play. The 4 gods and goddesses will be transported into modern society, keeping their personality traits. They will have to face an issue of modern society, including issues of false cognates and indefinite articles.
